Anaximenes (586 – 526 BCE) was an ancient Greek philosopher under the Milesian School of thought with Thales and Anaximander.
He thought that the one ultimate substance that all things are created from is air. Fire is air thinned and clouds are air condensed, which can be condensed further into water, stone, etc.
